Finding animals you haven't seen lately

The Last Visit report under Animals sorts every animal into five bands by how long it has been since their last appointment: scheduled, recent, due soon, overdue and lapsed. Overdue is the band worth acting on — customers who used you regularly and stopped. Lapsed also contains animals that were added but never visited at all.

The Last Visit report shows every animal sorted by how long it's been since you saw it — the quickest way to spot customers who've quietly drifted off. Go to Animals and choose Last Visit.

How animals are grouped

Everything is sorted into five bands, colour-coded, with a count against each. The key sits at the top of the page.

Band Means
ScheduledAlready has an upcoming appointment. Nothing to do.
RecentVisited within the last month.
Due soonVisited within the last three months.
OverdueVisited within the last twelve months, but not since.
LapsedNot seen in over a year, or never seen at all.

Reading each row

Every animal shows its name, species and breed, its owner, the date you last saw it and how long ago that was in plain English. Click a row to open the animal's record, where you can see the full history and book them back in.

What to actually do with it

Overdue is the band worth your attention. These are customers who used you regularly and have stopped — usually because life got busy rather than because anything went wrong, which means a nudge often works.

Lapsed is a longer shot and includes animals that were added but never actually came in. Worth a look occasionally, but don't spend your morning on it.

A note on "never visited"

Animals that have never had an appointment sit in Lapsed alongside genuinely long-gone ones. Often they're second pets added to an existing customer's record who simply haven't needed you yet, so read that band with a bit of care before assuming you've lost anyone.
